I was stretching a hallway in a new build and the homeowner asked me a simple question
I was installing a 15 foot runner in a house in Springfield, using my usual knee kicker to get the tension. The guy who owned the place, just watching, asked 'Does that little tool really pull it tight enough for the whole length?' I realized I'd been relying on it for stretches over 12 feet for a decade, and the middle was probably never as firm as it should be. Now I'm looking at power stretchers. Anyone have a solid but not crazy expensive model they'd recommend for residential jobs?

Got to love when a simple question from a client makes you question your whole career. Welcome to the power stretcher club, it's a back saver.

Wait, you didn't have a power stretcher before? How were you even getting through the day? I did one job without mine and felt like I'd been hit by a truck. My knees were shot, my shoulders were done. Never again. That thing is not optional equipment.
