The way I handle carpet seams has totally changed in the last five years.

I used to rely on hot melt seam tape and a standard iron for everything, but after a job in a high humidity area like Savannah kept failing, I switched. Now I use a Roberts 70-500 cold adhesive for any seam that might see moisture, and I haven't had a single call back since. What specific adhesive or method do you guys trust for problem seams?

Yeah, what a difference the right glue makes, right? I was totally in the hot melt camp for years, thought it was the only way to go. But hearing about your Savannah job and seeing what @ivan774 said about basements finally got me to try a cold adhesive on a tricky bathroom remodel. I mean, it just holds up where the other stuff gets gummy and lets go. Now I won't touch a wet area seam without it.

Oh man, same here. I switched to a cold seam sealer for basements and it's been solid.

My basement floor looked like a science project until I tried that cold stuff reese_hayes71 mentioned. Guess I'm the last one to the party.
