A friend called me out for using the same payment app for everything

He said I was giving one company my whole spending story, which made me think. I used to just tap my phone with the same app for coffee, bills, even sending money to my sister. Now I split things up. I use a prepaid card with cash loaded for small daily buys, my bank's app for bills, and a different service for person-to-person stuff. It takes an extra minute sometimes, but I feel better knowing no single app has my complete picture. Has anyone else tried spreading out their digital payments like this?

Wait, you used to pay your BILLS with the same app you used for coffee? That's wild to me! My electric company needs my actual bank details, they don't take those person-to-person apps. I can't even picture how that would work. You must have had everything linked in one place, that's a crazy amount of trust in a single company's security. Splitting it up sounds like a smart move for sure.

Yep, that's a smart way to handle it.
