Last week the gas station card reader went down and I had to walk to an ATM three blocks away

Standing there with a full tank and no cash made me realize how much I just assume tap to pay will always work, has anyone else hit that moment where you're totally stuck without digital money?

Did you at least have your phone on you to grab a ride or call someone, or were you totally stranded?

Man, I get what you're saying but have you ever actually been stuck somewhere with no ride and no backup plan? It's a totally different feeling when the sun's going down and you realize you've got zero options. That helpless knot in your stomach is not dramatic, it's just real.
