Found a dented can bin at the grocery outlet in Reno and got 8 meals for $6
I was walking past the clearance rack at the Grocery Outlet on Wells Ave in Reno last Tuesday and noticed a whole bin of dented cans marked down to 25 cents each. I grabbed 6 cans of beans, 2 cans of tomatoes, and a bag of rice for under $6 total, which covered dinner for me and my roommate for 8 nights. Does anyone else check the dented can section first, or am I the only one who makes a beeline for it?
Feel that so hard. I hit the dented can bin at my local store every single time before I even look at the regular shelves. Last month I scored like 10 cans of chickpeas for a quarter each and made hummus for weeks. People walk right past that stuff because the label is bent but the food inside is totally fine. You just have to check that the can isn't bulging or leaking, that's the only real rule. Six bucks for 8 nights of food is honestly unbeatable right now.
