Can we talk about the 0.001 inch that cost a shop in Wichita a whole job?
I read on a machining forum that a guy's 0.001 inch spindle runout on a 6 month old machine scrapped 40 parts before anyone caught it, because everybody blamed the program instead of the spindle. What's the first thing you check when a job goes bad and the code looks fine?
