Dropped $450 on a used Kurt vise for my Bridgeport and it finally made me stop hating setup
I ran a cheap import vise for the first 6 years on my Bridgeport and figured the jaw lift was just something you lived with. Then I found a used Kurt D688 on marketplace for $450, drove 2 hours to Cleveland to grab it, and the difference was night and day, no more shimming parallels or tapping parts down before every cut. Should've done it way sooner instead of fighting that old vise every single shift. What's the one used tool purchase you made that you wish you'd made on day one?
