Rant: dropped $1,100 on a used Kirby Morgan knockoff helmet in Galveston, and I should've just rented
Bought it off a guy at a dock in Galveston back in 2021 for $1,100 because he swore it was barely used, then the first time I took it down in 40 feet of murky water the exhaust valve leaked and I had to bail out quick. Turned out the seat was cracked and the parts alone ran me another $600 before I gave up and went back to renting from the shop. Any of you ever get burned buying gear off the dock instead of going through a real dealer?

Buddy did the same, cracked seat too. Learned his lesson.
