Rant: Old timer at the dock in Galveston told me dry gloves were a waste of money until he tried em himself

He grabbed my pair before a 50 foot dive in that cold january water and after 20 minutes he came up and said 'damn I shoulda bought these 10 years ago' and now i see him with a brand new set every weekend.

Honestly people just grab whatever's cheap and then act surprised when it fails them three minutes in.

Funny you ask that. Last season my buddy insisted on using some bargain bin gloves he found at a yard sale that were literally meant for gardening. He spent half the paddle trying to keep his hands dry and the other half complaining about blisters. Would've been faster to just let his hands get wet.
