Swapped out my old magnesium bull float for a resin one last summer
Used to swear by the magnesium because that's what my old boss in Tampa used, but the resin float leaves a way finer finish with half the effort. Anyone else made the switch and noticed their cream comes up faster?

Switched last spring and my cream gets way smoother now, way less drag.

Moved to a Merkur 34C back in March and that was the game changer for me. My lather stopped getting all foamy and thin cause I wasn't fighting the drag anymore. @ivan774 I had the same issue you mentioned where the cream wasn't whipping up right, but switching to a more balanced head fixed it completely. I went from a super aggressive open comb to that closed comb and now my face doesn't feel like I sanded it down.
