Called BS on keratin treatments for months. Now I'm eating my words.
Kept telling clients those smoothing treatments were a scam. Too many chemicals, too expensive. Then my curly-haired regular cried over frizz one Tuesday. She begged me to try one. Did a mid-tier brand, not the cheap stuff. $180 later her hair looked like glass. Zero frizz for 8 weeks. She tipped me $50. I have three others booked now. Anyone else eat their words on a product?
Oh man, I used to be the biggest skeptic too. I'd see those before and after pics and be like "that's just good lighting and a blowout, don't fall for it." Then my sister got one done and I literally couldn't stop touching her hair, it was so soft and smooth. Felt like I was petting a seal or something. Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out if I can justify the cost for my own frizzy mess or if I'm just gonna cave like everyone else.
A lot of people are in that same boat right now, trying to talk themselves out of it after seeing the results in person. It's not like it's just a fancy blowout that washes out in a day, that thing sticks around for months. I'd say if your frizz is really getting to you, bite the bullet and join the club before you spend another year wishing your hair looked like a seal's.
