PSA: Leaving small gaps in my appointment book fixed my burnout
I used to book clients every half hour to keep busy, but I felt tired and made mistakes. My coworker told me to try adding buffer time between services. Now I use those minutes to sanitize my station and chat with the next client. My work feels smoother and clients seem more relaxed too.

Consider how you use that buffer time, not just having it.

But seriously, just having it is half the battle already.

Yeah, it's like that time I tried to schedule back-to-back video calls all day. Felt like my brain was melting by 3 PM. I was rushing so much I forgot to unmute myself on three separate calls, just talking to a black screen. @kai_ellis has a point about breathing room. Now I block out fifteen minutes after any long meeting just to write down what was said and grab a soda. Makes the next call way less of a mess.

Wait, you were seeing people every thirty minutes straight? How did you even breathe between them...
