My writing group uses the same prompt source every week, and it's getting stale. Where do you find new ones?

Check out those daily prompt accounts on Instagram, they saved me when my own ideas dried up. I actually found a good one through a list @green.val shared a while back, it mixes classic lines with random objects for a weird twist. My last story came from "write about a lighthouse keeper who hates the sea," which was fun to figure out.

Getting stale? Maybe try a poetry anthology.

Skip the big collections and grab something like Billy Collins instead.

Wait, you think anthologies are just for when you're bored of one poet? They're actually solid for finding new favorites when you don't know where to start. I found some great newer poets in that "Best American Poetry" series last year.
