Caught my dad using 'Password123' on his banking app during Thanksgiving dinner

I had to reset his entire digital life right there at the table while my mom kept asking if the turkey was getting cold, has anyone else had to emergency coach a family member through basic password hygiene mid-holiday?

and honestly i saw some article the other day about how most data breaches happen because people reuse passwords across sites. like that whole thing with those big hacks a few years ago, people lost bank accounts just because they used the same login for some random forum. it's scary how fast it can snowball. tell him to at least use different ones for email and banking, those are the big ones. i read somewhere that 80% of hacking-related breaches are from weak or reused passwords, which is wild.
