I finally switched from a free VPN to a paid one and the difference is insane
Honestly, I was using a popular free VPN for about a year, thinking it was fine. Last week, I read their privacy policy and saw they log your connection data and sell it. I switched to a paid service, ProtonVPN, for $5 a month. The speed is way better and I actually trust their no-logs claim. Has anyone else made a similar switch and noticed other benefits?

Totally feel this, made the same move a couple months back. The free ones are basically data farms in disguise. My old one would drop the connection constantly, but the paid service just works without any fuss. It's wild how much faster everything loads now too.

Yeah the "data farms in disguise" thing is so true now. I mean it feels like everything free online is just a trick to get your info. Paying for stuff is annoying but at least you get what you actually need.

Same thing with apps that sell your location data to ad companies.

Switching was a game changer for my streaming. The free one would buffer constantly, but now I can watch HD stuff with no lag. Also, the kill switch feature is a lifesaver if your connection drops.
