Last Wednesday was the worst data day I've had in months
I woke up to 47 spam emails all from companies I'd never heard of. Then my phone buzzed with a text from a fake Amazon link that somehow knew I ordered cat food last week. Later I checked my bank app and saw a $12 charge from some app I don't remember giving permission to. It felt like every piece of my info was just floating around out there with no control on my end. Has anyone else had a day where it just felt like you lost all grip on your own data?

The $12 charge was probably that app trial you forgot to cancel, not a hack.

That whole "probably forgot to cancel" thing doesn't always apply. I read a report recently about these card testing bots hitting random numbers. They run small $5-$15 charges to see if the card works. It's not even a real app trial, just a probe. You're right to be suspicious.

Dude, price.ray is totally missing the point because I checked and that $12 charge was from some sketchy app I never even downloaded.
