That $200 data broker opt out service either saved my sanity or wasted my cash

I paid DeleteMe $200 upfront back in February to scrub my info from people search sites. They sent me reports showing 30 removals from sites like Whitepages and Spokeo in the first month. But last week I googled myself and found my home address on three sites they supposedly cleared already. So did their service actually work for long or am I just paying for temporary band aids? Has anyone stuck with a data removal service for a full year and seen real results?

Started using DeleteMe last November and honestly I felt the same way at first. Got a call from a telemarketer two weeks after they supposedly scrubbed my number and almost threw my phone across the room. But I stuck with it for about 8 months and noticed a real drop in spam calls and weird friend requests from people I didn't know. The trick seems to be that you have to stay on it for at least 6 months because these sites keep re-adding your info from other data brokers. I still find my old address floating around sometimes but it's way less now than before.

So you're saying it actually does get better if you just hang in there? I had DeleteMe for like 3 months and bailed because I kept seeing my info pop up on those people search sites again. Maybe I gave up too soon... the whole re-adding thing from other data brokers is pretty sneaky, didn't realize they kept trading info like that. Might have to give it another shot and actually stick with it for half a year this time.
