I finally got ghosted after a 3 month situationship with a girl from Bumble

Met this girl on Bumble back in October, we hit it off immediately. Talked every single day for 3 months, went on like 8 dates including one to that new ramen spot in Austin. Then out of nowhere she just stopped replying mid conversation. Took me about 2 full weeks of overanalyzing every text to finally accept she wasn't coming back lol. Has anyone else had a situationship drag on way longer than it should have before the ghost?

Ask yourself why you let it drag on for 3 months when she was clearly lukewarm the whole time. Were you just scared to call it what it was and risk losing her? I've been there too man, we all ignore the red flags when someone gives us just enough attention to keep hope alive. Did she ever actually talk about making things official or did you avoid that conversation?

and honestly @the_leo that pattern bleeds into so many parts of life, not just dating. we stay in bad jobs way too long because our boss sends a nice email once a month, or we keep friendships going with people who only hit us up when they need something. it's like our brains are wired to hold onto any tiny bit of validation even when we know deep down it's never gonna change.

Does your boy have a dog? Because I swear the same thing happened with me and my mutt Max. I spent way too long trying to make it work with this girl who was always "busy" but would send me a meme every few days to keep me on the hook. Meanwhile Max would just stare at me like "bro, she's not even petting me, what are you doing?" Ended up taking me adopting a rescue dog to realize I was putting more effort into a relationship than that dog put into learning not to chew my shoes. At least the dog was honest about what he wanted - treats and belly rubs, none of this hot and cold nonsense.
