Hit 50 deleted Reddit threads saved in one folder... wasn't planning that
I was just cleaning out my bookmarks folder last night and realized I had saved exactly 50 screenshots of posts that got nuked before I could even read the comments. Some were from a local sports sub where a player's cousin leaked trade rumors that got pulled in under 10 minutes. Others were from a niche hobby group where someone posted a fix for a broken tool and the mods deleted it because the brand wasn't "approved." It hit me that half these things I'll never see again unless someone else archived them. Made me wonder how many people are quietly hoarding stuff like this too... anyone else keep a dedicated folder or do you just let the deletions slide?

Started counting mine last week after I found a screenshot of a deleted post about a local pizzeria's secret menu item that got taken down within an hour. Turns out I had 43 of them just from the last 6 months, mostly insider gossip from a music forum where people post before the mods wake up. My favorite is this one about a discontinued hot sauce recipe that got scrubbed so fast the OP probably got sued into silence.

A quick Google image search found the exact sauce for me, turned out the recipe was mostly just smoked ghost peppers and honey.

Wait, you were one of those people who thought saving deleted posts was weird too? I used to be the same way honestly, I'd scroll past all that stuff thinking who cares about something that's already gone. But then last month I stumbled onto a thread about a band that broke up in 2009 and someone had screenshots of their old forum rants that got deleted like a day later. It was this whole drama about why they really split up and now I'm sitting here with like 20 tabs open of random deleted stuff from obscure corners of the internet. Your hot sauce one sounds way more interesting though, I gotta ask did you ever try making it from the recipe?
