Took me 6 years to realize my torque wrench was junk

Buddy at the shop in Tulsa showed me his snap-on torque wrench after I stripped a bolt on a DT12. He handed it to me and said try this, I clicked it at 80 ft-lbs and felt the difference right away. Anyone else ever get called out by a coworker for using cheap tools?

Have you ever noticed how much more confidence you have in your work when you actually trust your tools? I remember the first time I used a quality torque wrench after years of fighting with a cheap one, it was like night and day. That click just feels solid and you can tell right away it's hitting the right number.

Do you actually think that click matters that much, @umar49, when a cheap tool can get the same result if you know what you're doing lol?
