Hit 1,000 sales on my digital art prints and felt nothing

I thought reaching that milestone would feel different, but looking back I spent more time figuring out pricing and SEO tags than actually making art. Has anyone else hit a big number and wondered if it was even worth chasing?

My cousin hit 500 sales on her jewelry Etsy shop and then immediately quit to raise goats.

Man that's awesome, your cousin totally made the right call. I did something similar a couple years back when I hit 600 sales on my woodworking stuff, just walked away from it all to start a small vegetable farm. People think you're crazy to bail on a growing business but there's something about working with your hands outside that just hits different. The goats thing sounds way more fun than packing up little jewelry boxes every day. Seriously, who wouldn't trade Etsy stress for fresh goat milk and open pasture? Sometimes you just gotta follow that random dream before you get too stuck in the money game.
