Why does nobody talk about the cost of a proper drawing tablet stand?
I finally caved and bought a heavy-duty, adjustable stand for my Wacom Cintiq last month. It was around $180, which felt like a lot for a piece of metal. But after a week of using it, my neck and shoulder pain from hunching over the screen is almost gone. I can tilt and raise the display to exactly the right angle now. Honestly, it's made my 4-5 hour painting sessions way more comfortable. Has anyone else found a specific piece of gear that unexpectedly improved your workflow this much?

Riley's right about feeling broken after a long session. I used a stack of old textbooks for my tablet for way too long. My wrist would just ache by noon. I finally got one of those ergonomic keyboard trays that slides under the desk and mounted the tablet arm to it. Now I can pull it right into my lap and tilt it back. It sounds small, but not having my arm stretched out on the desk all day changed everything.

Ever try drawing on one of those cheap plastic lap desks? Mine snapped in half after a week.

Seriously, that stand is a game changer. A lot of people just prop their tablet on a stack of books and deal with the pain. It seems like a silly cost until you realize your posture is wrecked. That kind of gear is an investment in your actual health, not just a tool. I put off buying one for years and my back was a mess. Totally worth the money to not feel broken after a long session.
