Just realized those big influencer giveaways are mostly a waste of money
I ran a campaign with a local fitness influencer in Austin last year. Paid her $500 for a giveaway post and got maybe 20 real followers out of it. The rest were all bot accounts or people who unfollowed after the contest ended. At the same time I spent $100 on a targeted Facebook ad for my cleaning business and got 5 actual clients. So now I skip the influencer stuff and just put that cash straight into ads. Has anyone else had better luck with micro influencers under 10k followers?
Haha yeah that tracks. My buddy runs a small coffee shop and paid some local "influencer" 300 bucks for a post. She got like 12 likes and zero new customers from it. He said he could've bought everyone a free drink for that money and gotten more buzz.
