My phone bill dropped by $30 a month when I switched to a privacy focused carrier
I used to think I had to pick between a big name company and a bad signal, but then I found a smaller carrier that doesn't track my web traffic. The switch took about an hour online last month. Has anyone else found a good deal by choosing privacy first?

You mentioned they don't track your web traffic... that's the part I'm curious about. How do you actually know they aren't tracking? I've looked at a few of those smaller carriers, but their privacy policies are still full of legal stuff that's hard to get through. Did you find a clear way they prove it, or do you just have to take their word for it?

Honestly, I just don't have the energy to dig that deep. I figure any step away from the giants is a good one. They're definitely collecting less data than my old carrier, because my targeted ads dropped off a cliff. That's proof enough for me.

Riley's point about privacy policies being full of legal stuff is exactly the problem. It feels like every company now, from my coffee maker app to my kid's school portal, has a huge terms of service you just have to click "agree" on. You can't win if you try to read them all, so you end up having to pick who you trust the least and go from there.
