Spent $120 on a VPN lifetime subscription and it was a waste

I grabbed a deal for PureVPN's lifetime plan back in March figuring it was a steal. First three months were fine, then the speeds dropped hard and some sites just wouldn't load. Their support kept telling me to toggle settings but nothing fixed it. Anyone else get burned by these lifetime VPN deals or is it just me?

First three months were fine then the speeds dropped hard" - that's the same pattern I've seen with almost every VPN deal like this. They hook you with good service and then choke the bandwidth once you're locked in. $120 feels like a lot to learn that lesson the hard way.
