Unpopular opinion: I used to think password managers were a scam until my email got hijacked at a Denver coffee shop.
Yeah, I was that guy who used the same password for everything because it was easier. Then last month I was at a Starbucks in Denver, logged into their WiFi, and next thing I know my email was sending spam to everyone I know. Took me 3 days to clean it up. A buddy at work made me try Bitwarden and honestly it's not as annoying as I thought. The auto-fill thing is actually pretty slick. Has anyone else had a wake-up call like that or am I the last one to get with the program?

You ever have one of those moments where you realize you've been doing something stupid for years? That was me with passwords. Had the same one for everything since like 2010. Then my PayPal got drained at a truck stop in Nebraska. Lost about 400 bucks before I caught it. That sucked. My brother kept bugging me about LastPass but I finally caved after that. Changed everything and set up two-factor. It's not perfect but it's way better than using "password123" for your bank.

My buddy Dave used "fluffybunny1" for everything until his Venmo got hacked at a Waffle House.

Cringed reading this @owens.anthony because I did the same thing for way too long. Had "baseball12" on everything from my email to my retirement account. Thought I was clever because I added the 12. Got lucky nothing got hit but looking back I was basically begging for trouble. Now I use a password manager and my biggest headache is just remembering the one master password. Feels a lot better but I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking about that Nebraska truck stop.
