Hit 180 days waiting for my appeal hearing and almost gave up

I was ready to walk away from my disability appeal until I got a letter saying I was moved to the priority docket. Turns out hitting the 180 day mark triggered an automatic review that sped things up. Has anyone else had their wait time suddenly drop after a specific milestone?

The 180 day mark is real, they definitely have an automatic trigger for that. I'd call your local office to confirm they flagged it right, just in case.

Yeah the "automatic trigger" part is spot on, I'm pretty sure my file has a little alarm that goes off right at day 180 and dumps my case to the bottom of the pile lol. I swear @kimfisher I called my local office three times and each time they said "oh yeah we flagged it" but I'm still waiting two months later. At this point I think my file is just sitting in some drawer under a pile of donut crumbs or something. Honestly I've probably called so many times they have my number saved as "that guy who keeps asking about the 180 day thing" in their system lol.
