Had to choose between steel doors and an old bank vault door for my bunker entrance
I went back and forth for weeks on this. A buddy of mine said the vault door was overkill and would be a pain to install, but I'm glad I stuck with it because the peace of mind is real. The old door has that solid clunk sound when it closes that steel doors just don't have. If anyone's looking for old vault doors, check scrap yards near old bank buildings - mine came from a place in Council Bluffs that was tearing down a 1920s bank. Just be ready for the weight and make sure your floor is thick enough.

Wait, are we really arguing about how easy it is to replace a door after your bunker has already been through some kind of disaster? That's like worrying about the price of new shoelaces after your house burned down. If a steel door warped that bad, you've got bigger problems than just changing the door, like maybe a new foundation and a therapist. And sure, vault doors are a pain to install, but that's the whole point - you don't install it twice unless you're moving to a new bunker, which kind of defeats the purpose anyway. I'll take the one-time headache over a "convenient" door that might need swapping every time the world gets a little spicy outside.

Nah man, steel doors are way easier to replace if something goes wrong.

Friend of mine had a steel door warp in the heat and it was a NIGHTMARE to get off the hinges. Took three guys and a torch just to get it off the frame.
