Figuring out wall anchors changed my DIY game for good

I always messed up until I started using a level and pencil first. Now everything hangs straight without extra holes.

I mean maybe it's just me but is it that deep? I just eyeball it and hope for the best, idk if I need a whole system for a picture frame.

Wait, you actually just hope for the best every single time. That pencil mark trick takes like ten seconds and saves you from a crooked frame forever. I could never live with that much chaos.

Seriously, @uma309 is so right about that daily stress. I had a frame in my hallway that was just a little off and it bugged me every single day. Now I always take a second to use a level and it saves me from that constant annoyance. That tiny bit of effort makes the whole room feel calmer.

Honestly, it's not just about the frame being straight. If you eyeball it and it's off, you'll notice every time you walk by. It can make the whole wall look messy, especially if you have more than one picture. I used to just wing it until I had friends over and someone pointed out how crooked my gallery wall was. Now I use a tape measure and a pencil mark, takes two seconds and looks pro. Saves me from that tiny bit of stress every day.
