PSA: I thought peel and stick floor tiles were a total scam for a real kitchen.
My friend redid her whole kitchen floor with them last year and I was sure they would look cheap and peel up in a month. I finally tried them in my own laundry room, a small 8x8 foot space, because the old vinyl was cracked. I spent maybe $120 on a box of the good stuff, not the dollar store kind. The trick is the floor has to be super clean and flat, I mean no dust at all. I used a leveling compound on one low spot. After a full year, with a washer shaking on them, not a single tile has lifted or cracked. They still look brand new. I'm honestly shocked. Has anyone else put these in a high traffic area like a front entry and had them hold up?
