My ceiling repair turned into a 3 day ordeal

Dropped a screwdriver through my bathroom ceiling while installing a new light fixture. Ended up having to patch a 6 inch hole and match the old stipple texture which took forever. Anyone got tips for matching ceiling texture without making a mess?

Just try a wet sponge next time.

Hell yeah. I was a full-on paper towel guy for years. Never thought a sponge could actually work better but you're right.

Nah man, I gotta disagree here. Sponges just trap all that bacteria and smell funky after a couple days, no matter how much you rinse them. I stick with paper towels for most stuff, or those blue shop towels if I'm doing something greasy. A wet sponge might be fine for a quick counter wipe but for actual messes, give me something disposable every time.
