Serious question, what's your go-to method for setting up drawing templates?
I've been drafting for a few years now and always just started from scratch. Recently, I made a basic template with all my standard layers and styles. It cut down my setup time by half on new projects. For example, I pre-set dimensions, text heights, and border lines. But I'm wondering if I'm missing out on more efficient ways. Do you have any tips for creating templates that adapt to different project types?

Eh, I see where they're coming from, but man, that sounds like a whole new job just organizing all those template files. For me, one solid template with smart layers you can turn on or off beats digging through folders any day. Sometimes the fix for saving time just makes more busywork, you know?

Honestly, I made separate templates for different project types! It sounds like extra work, but having one for schematics and another for layouts saved me way more time. Now I just grab the right file and jump straight in.

Ugh, I feel @john_fisher on the mess part. I tried making separate ones last year and spent more time picking the right template than actually working. My system got so messy I just gave up and went back to one main file.

Oh man, I've totally fallen down that rabbit hole before... picking the perfect template becomes the whole project.
