Debate: When my sister asks for skincare help, I'm stuck between being family and running a business. Some say it builds trust, others say it sets a bad precedent. How do you deal?

Yeah, I used to be all about blending family and business (seemed like the nice thing to do). But after a bunch of free advice turned into expected favors, I changed my tune. Setting those clear lines now stops the awkward "can you just look at this" moments during dinner. It keeps the peace and lets me actually enjoy family time. So from my experience, keeping them separate saves a lot of trouble.

Man, I used to mix family and business all the time. It just causes weird tension and unpaid work. Now I keep it totally separate and it's way better for everyone.

Been through the same thing myself. Mixing family and business always seemed easier at first, but it never ends well. From what I've seen, it blurs lines and makes things hard to handle. Unpaid work and awkward talks become common. Once I started keeping them apart, the stress went down and ties got better. Your mileage may vary, but for me, clear lines made all the difference.

But what if you just set clear rules like @the_logan instead of a total split?
