Can we talk about switching from a standard rasp to a four-in-hand for finishing work?

I used to spend an extra 15 minutes per horse smoothing the hoof wall with a standard rasp after trimming, but I switched to a four-in-hand about two years ago after seeing one at a clinic in Lexington. The change cut my finishing time in half and gives a much cleaner edge, especially on those tough quarter cracks. Has anyone else made a similar switch and noticed a big difference in their daily workflow?

You saw a four-in-hand at a clinic in Lexington and just switched two years ago? I'm shocked you didn't try one sooner, because that tool has been a total game-changer for me. The time savings alone makes it worth it.

But have you ever thought about how it changes the feel of the work itself?

Wait, you only switched two years ago? I mean, I saw my first one like a decade back and grabbed one right after.
