Oh wow, that's a pretty big shift in thinking. The thing is, a lot of people treat hoof trimming like it's just about making the foot look nice, but it really affects the whole horse's movement and posture. Have you found that changing how you trim has changed how the horse moves overall?

Yeah, totally. It's crazy how much their whole body changes when the feet are right.

Man I hear you so much on this! It took me way too long to realize I was trimming just to make the feet look pretty instead of thinking about how the horse actually moved. Changing my whole approach was like a lightbulb moment for sure. Now I pay way more attention to how they stand and walk after a trim, and it's wild how much smoother their stride gets. It's almost like you can see them thinking 'finally, my feet feel right' once you get the angles correct. It's way more rewarding than just making them look nice for a show!
