Driving past a new vinyl job in my neighborhood and seeing the posts set in concrete with zero drainage gravel.

I guarantee that fence is holding a swimming pool against the base of every post after the first heavy rain, and the client will be calling about leaning sections within two years.

Oh man, my buddy found out the hard way too. He didn't set his posts in concrete deep enough and the whole corner of his deck sagged after one winter. Cost him a ton to fix.
