Warning: My bright idea to use a kid's pool for mixing concrete ended with a backyard flood.

Rough way to learn about concrete mixing... but it happens to the best of us. Those messy mistakes really drive the lesson home. Good to hear it paid off on the next project.

Yeah, that first messy batch is a rite of passage, huh? What finally clicked for me was watching a couple videos to see the right consistency (way less water than I thought). I started using a marked bucket for the water every single time, which helped a ton. Keeping a little notebook with the mix ratios for different jobs saved me later on too.
