Took me 3 hours to count a single drawer of change at the ice cream shop
I work at this local scoop shop in Portland and my boss made me count the register drawer after a rush. There was like $40 in nickels, dimes, and quarters mixed with wet sticky coins from the sink. It took me 3 hours because I kept losing count every time I touched a melted coin. Has anyone else had a cash handling job that just wrecked your night?

Wait, @davidkim, did you say she made you count wet coins from the sink?

Dude, wet coins are the absolute worst. That sounds like a total nightmare shift.

Yeah, @davidkim, wet coins are the worst, but honestly it's just one of those little things that makes you wonder why we still mess with cash at all. Like, I was at the laundromat last week and saw a guy trying to dry his quarters on the hand dryer, poor dude just wanted clean socks. It's funny how the smallest annoyances, like damp change or a sticky soda spill, can completely ruin your mood for the rest of the day. Guess that's just how the little things stack up.
