Every time I suggest light floors for a small room, clients fight me.

Dark wood just SHRINKS the space, why can't they see it?

My last project in Phoenix had the same issue. The clients were stuck on dark espresso floors for their tiny living room. I opened my laptop and showed them photos from a past job with light oak floors in a similar small space. Putting the two images side by side changed their minds right away. They could see the light floors made the room feel open and not closed in. Now I keep a folder of those comparison shots for every client meeting.
