Just saw two 'natural' granola bars with wildly different sugar counts...
I was grabbing a snack at the store yesterday and picked up two bars from the same shelf, both with 'natural' and 'wholesome' on the box. The first one had 12 grams of sugar, the second had 22... for the same size bar. I checked the ingredients and the one with more sugar just listed 'organic cane syrup' instead of 'sugar', so it sounds better. I went with the lower sugar one, but it's crazy how the label can make them seem like the same healthy choice. Has anyone else found a food where the health halo on the front totally hides what's really inside?

Spot the fancy sugar names like brown rice syrup or fruit juice concentrate. They all break down into the same stuff in your body. It's just a marketing trick to make the ingredient list look cleaner.

It's like @cooper.drew said, just repackaging the same old stuff to make us feel better about buying it.
