Watching the new guy try to patch a core blow with just green sand for three hours straight was a special kind of Tuesday.
The foreman finally walked over, shook his head, and said, 'Kid, you need a 50/50 mix of core paste and olivine, or you'll be here until Christmas,' which made me realize how much we just assume everyone knows the little fixes.

Man, that's the kind of thing that makes you feel for the new guy. We've all been there, stuck on something everyone else just knows. Those little tricks are like a secret language until someone finally spells it out. Sounds like a long three hours for him.
