My friend in Phoenix got his bank account locked for a week after a crypto post
He posted a joke about a certain coin on a public forum, and his bank flagged it as suspicious activity. They froze his funds without a call or email, and he couldn't pay rent. Does this kind of financial censorship defeat the whole point of free speech finance?

Yeah, I saw a thread about banks tracking social media for risk.

Honestly, that story is a real eye-opener. I always figured banks just watched your spending, but @alicemurphy is right about them scanning social media too. It makes you wonder where the line is between safety and just watching everything you do.

Yeah that "line between safety and just watching" is the real question. What do they even do with all that social media info, just flag accounts? Feels like they're making up new rules as they go.
