Tried a free speech social app for crypto talk vs sticking to regular Twitter
I gave one of those new free speech platforms a shot for a week to talk about altcoins, after getting flagged on Twitter for mentioning a project. The new place let me post anything, but the feed was a mess of scams and nonsense. Back on Twitter, I at least found solid threads from known traders, even with the occasional warning. Anyone else find a good middle ground for real finance chat without all the noise?

Switched to private Discord groups, way better.

Totally agree, private groups are the move. You can actually have a real talk without random people jumping in. Like, my friend has one just for sharing weird cooking fails, and it's way funnier than posting that stuff publicly. It feels like a real hangout spot instead of just shouting into the void. The vibe is just completely different.

Honestly, it's not just about the privacy though. The real win is the shared history. You build up inside jokes and references over time that make it feel like a real room. A public post just gets reactions, but a private group builds a whole little culture. That's what makes it stick.
