I argued against motion sensor lights for years, but a pitch black garage entry last night convinced me otherwise.

Remember it's not always about being stubborn. Sometimes you just haven't hit that exact situation where you really need the thing. Like, my garage was fine for ages because the switch was right there. But then I tried coming in with full grocery bags in the rain. That's what sold me. It's less about refusing to change and more about your own routine not demanding it yet.

So stubbornness finally met a dark garage floor. That will make anyone a believer in sensor lights. Welcome to the modern world where lights turn on by themselves.

Ugh, max_brown is being so smug about this. It's not like people enjoy fumbling in the dark on purpose. Those old setups worked fine for years, until one day your hands are too full or you're just too tired. That sudden frustration is what makes you finally change things, not some lecture. Calling it stubbornness misses the whole point of how habits actually work. You don't fix what isn't broken yet.
