Walked past a fertility clinic in Boston and their sign said 'genetic screening available'

It made me wonder how many people are picking traits for their kids without really thinking it through. The sign didn't explain anything, just listed it like a menu option. How do we even start talking about the ethics of that becoming normal?

Just saw a sign like that at a mall and it freaked me out. They make it sound like you're picking upgrades for a car, not a person. We're gonna end up with a whole generation of kids whose parents ordered them from a catalog. Nobody's talking about what this does to the kids who don't meet the specs.
