The whole "bread tie on the mailbox" thing for coupon trains is backwards
I keep seeing people in coupon groups say to use a bread tie as a signal that you left envelopes in someone's mailbox for a train swap. But a bread tie means nothing to the mail carrier, they just think it's trash. I tested this in my neighborhood in Austin after 3 trains got lost. Use a bright pink rubber band instead, it stands out and carriers know to leave it alone.

Wait, did you try this with your regular carrier or just random subs?

Nah man I gotta push back on that. @max223 I think you're overthinking it a bit. Ive tried it with like 3 different carriers and it worked the same each time. The whole thing is about the phone's settings not who you pay your bill to. I mean sure maybe some carriers lock stuff down tighter but in my experience it doesnt matter much. Just try it with whatever carrier you use now and see what happens. If it works great if not then you can start troubleshooting from there.
