So, I started waiting for my dog to calm down before leashing up... walks are way less chaotic now.

Funny how that "wait for calm" trick actually works on dogs, but telling a human to calm down is basically throwing gas on a fire. My dog just gives me that guilty side-eye, but my brother would probably start yelling about how he IS calm. Maybe we should all just treat each other like easily spooked puppies.
