inNever trusted electric buffers for fine work. Had no choice on a Friday afternoon. Worked like a charm.
How about that, always good when the tool you doubted comes through.

inMy view on pre-flight checks shifted after a model rocket launch gone wrong.
Starting from that "double-checking everything" point... it really does bleed into other stuff. After my rocket failed, I started treating everything with even mild risk the same way. Checking my bike brakes before a steep hill, or even just making sure a ladder is solid before climbing. That one scary moment rewires your brain... you stop seeing extra checks as a hassle and more like the only way to do things. It becomes automatic after a while, just part of the routine.

inAlmost wasted a batch of fries by skipping the shake.
That idea about shaking moving the steam seems like food science making a small thing seem big. Do we really need to worry about it? Like with fries in a bag, shaking them might help a little, but they taste the same either way. Or with microwave pizza, turning it is better than shaking. It's not that serious for most people.

For that butter-smooth feed, you gotta earn it with sweat and files.

inGot really good at the old English bond after noticing it's popular again.
Wonder if mocking brick patterns misses the point. Even small crafts keep traditions alive. Why should only cathedrals count?
