Fell for that 'miracle paint' that claims to waterproof ANYTHING, wasted $150 on a single gallon.
I used it on my deck last spring and the water just soaked right through after two months, the guy at the hardware store swore by it but I looked it up later and it's got tons of BBB complaints. Has anyone actually gotten that stuff to work or is it all hype?

Wait it peeled off in SHEETS like that? That's wild.

That $150 gallon is the same one with the lighthouse on the label right? I used it on a leaky shed roof and within three months it was peeling off in literal sheets like sunburned skin. The BBB complaints mention something about it not bonding to previous paint layers, did you apply it to bare wood or over something else?
