That week in 2019 when I found $40 in three different jackets

I was down bad that February, living off ramen and praying my car wouldn't break down again. First jacket was a denim one I hadn't worn since college, had a $20 bill tucked in the pocket. Next day I grabbed my old winter coat from the trunk and found another $20 in a zipper compartment. Third one was just a crumpled $5 but at that point I was laughing so hard I didn't even care. Has anyone else had a ridiculous streak like that where the universe just throws cash at you?

My friend Sarah once found $50 in a library book she returned from three years ago. It was just stuck between pages 200 and 201 like a weird bookmark. She said she almost returned it but opened it one more time to check for notes. Did you ever think about checking places you haven't looked in forever before all this happened?

That reminds me of the old trick where people stash money in winter coats before putting them away. Might be worth checking the pockets of anything you store seasonally.

Wait, did you ever think about how the universe pays you back in weird little bits like that? I had a similar thing happen but with change - found quarters and dimes in random spots around my apartment for a solid two weeks after I lost my wallet. It was like someone was leaving me a trail of breadcrumbs but with pocket change. To this day I still check between couch cushions before I toss them, just in case the universe decides to bless me again. Makes you wonder if there's some kind of cosmic piggy bank that just tips over when you're at your lowest.
